After being nursed back to the health, she was adopted by a wonderful couple who have doted on her the past few years. Sadly, she was diagnosed with cancer, and even after surgery, her prognosis is not good. Her owner had no good photos of her, so he asked me to do a portrait session with Emmy.

Milo came to us when he was a few months old after being hit by a car (twice!) on Kingsbury Grade near Lake Tahoe. The badly injured kitten fortunately was picked up and rushed to a veterinarian. After several surgeries and months of care he healed up. But he could not be released back into the wild – he was separated from his mother before she could teach him how to hunt and fend for himself, so he is a permanent resident at Animal Ark.

Earlier this week I went with Animal Ark to a neighborhood elementary school to do a presentation about the Ark. About half the kids in both groups were sniffling. Guess what – I am a germ magnet and woke up with a cold this morning. Ugh!
