About Me

I’ve always loved photography. I was about five years old when I got my first camera – a Kodak Instamatic. I started taking pictures and have never lost my love for photography, even though life and career got in the way. The advent of digital photography and Photoshop have turned a lifelong love into a passion.

I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. After college in Cambridge, Massachusetts,  where I studied aerospace engineering, I had several jobs in the aerospace industry and lived in Texas, Florida, Missouri, Arizona, and finally, southern California. In 1999, I moved back to Reno and started consulting part-time for various aviation interests. In addition, I am a pilot and certified flight instructor.

Now I live in Reno with my husband, Gary, who is a 747 captain for Korean Air Lines, and our two Ragdoll cats – Sophie and Juno. In addition to engineering consulting, I also work as an animal keeper at Animal Ark, a wildlife sanctuary north of Reno.

My photography covers quite a wide range – travel, nature, animals, sports, and events. Please visit my Galleries page to see my recent photo projects, and my Portfolio page to view my top images. Soon, I expect to offer prints and cards for sale on my website, and am also available to photograph events.
